In occasione della 55° Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte, InParadiso Gallery ospiterà la personale dell’artista israeliana Orna Elstein.
In the occasion of the 55th International Art Exhibition Biennale di Venezia, InParadiso Gallery will host the solo exhibition of Orna Elstein

Nata e cresciuta a Tel Aviv, ha studiato arte, letteratura e filosofia alla Sorbona di Parigi e in seguito presso l’Università Ebraica di Gerusalemme e presso l’Università di Tel Aviv.
Elstein ha pubblicato articoli e poesie sulle riviste letterarie Proza e Moznayim e alcune delle sue poesie tratte dalla raccolta And Time Touches Like a Feather sono state musicate ed eseguite dal Musica Nova Ensemble presso il Museo delle Arti di Tel Aviv. Un cofanetto di poesie The Gazelle of Oblivion è stato pubblicato in edizione bilingue, in collaborazione con il Museo di Arte Moderna di Vienna.
Elstein ha composto e dipinto Mon île riante, libro d’artista in edizione limitata, durante il suo soggiorno di un anno nelle Isole Seychelles .La pubblicazione ha una versione francese e una versione ebraica. Elstein è inoltre l’autrice di un video artistico basato sulla sua pittura, che è stato proiettato al Givon Art Forum di Tel Aviv (2012) e in occasione della collettiva Hybrid Identitiesle che si è svolta a Edimburgo e in Camaguey nel 2013.
Born and raised in Tel Aviv. She studied art, literature and philosophy in the Sorbonne, Paris, at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and at the Tel Aviv University.Elstein published articles and poems in the literary journals Proza and Moznayim and some of her poems from the collection And Time Touches Like a Feather (1982) were set to music and performed by the Musica Nova Ensemble at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. A boxed set of her poems The Gazelle of Oblivion [Hindin des Vergessen] (1993) was published in a bilingual edition in collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art of Vienna, as part of “Makom” [place] a platform for contemporary Israeli Art. The poems were translated from Hebrew to German by the poet Tuvia Rübner. Elstein composed and painted My Radiant Island during her half year stay in the Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean. The book was published in 2012 by Daniella De-Nur Publishers as a limited edition artist’s book, in a French version and in a Hebrew version. Laurent Schuman translated Elstein’s poem from Hebrew into French. Elstein created a video art based on her painting, which was screened at the Givon Art Forum in Tel Aviv (2012) and at the Hybrid Identities |UK/Cuba international art festival which took place in Edinburgh and at Camaguey in 2013.
